We offer an after-school evening madrasah programme which run between 5pm-7pm, Monday to Friday. The evening madrasah is suitable for boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 16. We have a carefully curated Quran studies programme with a wider focus on general Islamic studies, tarbiyah and akhlaq.
Our girls classes are taught by qualified female teachers.
We have approximately 80 studies currently enrolled and the classes are divided into the following categories:

[Taught by Female Teachers Only]
- Level One (Juz ‘Amma): the objective of this level is to increase students’ fluency in Quranic recitation and provide a foundation in the science of tajweed.
- Level Two (Qur’an): the objective of this level is to help students becomes proficient in Quranic recitation with a high-level of tajweed understanding.

This class is suitable for the younger students where they are taught the Arabic alphabet and script, composition of basic words in Arabic, recognition of diacritical markings in the Arabic script along with a focus on tarbiyah, masnoon du’as and akhlaq.

- Levels One (Juz ‘Amma) and 2 (Qur’an): the objective of this class is to assist students to obtain a high level of fluency in Quranic recitation and tajweed
- Hifz Class: students who are proficient in recitation are encouraged to join the hifz programme run by our huffaz in order to increase their memorisation of some portion or the entirety of the Holy Qur’an.

Although we have a strong focus on the youth, we also recognise that adults may also wish to learn or refresh their understanding of certain topics. To this end, we run a free adult session conducted in Bengali for adults who wish to improve their Quran recitation proficiency, tajweed and wish to learn masnoon du’as or wish refresh certain aspects of the salah, wudu and other core tenants of fiqh. This runs every Tuesday after ‘Asr.

Our Friday khateeb runs an informal hifz revision session between ‘Asr and Maghreb every Saturday for those who have memorised all or some portion of the Qur’an and wish to conduct their revision. The session is designed to foster a quiet but collegiate atmosphere whereby brothers may attend and revise their portion for a Cole of hours with a hafiz on hand to listen if desired.

During the summer school holidays, we run our intense 4-week tajweed course, delivered by qualified qurra. Completion of the programme requires six years (Classes: Awwal, Thani, Thalith, Rabi’, Khamis and Sadis) and, upon completion, students graduate as fully-qualified qaris with ijazah and sanad. The classes run between 10am-1pm, Sundays to Thursday with qirat and tajweed exams at the end of the programme to assess suitability for progression to the next level.

We post summaries of our core messages delivered during the Friday khutbah on our WhatsApp channel every Fridays. This is intended to help attendees and non-attendees alike to reflect on the key message of the week and the written form is also helpful as a reference point for people to learn or remember certain du’as or a’maal which may have been referred to in the khutbah on any given Friday.

Alhamdulillah, every year in August during the summer holidays we take a small group of approximately 8-12 brothers and sisters on an English/Bengali speaking guided ‘umrah trip led by our Friday khateeb. The trips are usually 9-10 days long (5 days in Makkah and 5 days in Madinah) and include ziyarah to various places of historical significance in the Holy Cities.

We work with a local youth organisation to hold a weekly 5k run club at Victoria Park. The runs usually take place at 10am on Saturdays. This is a friendly and collegiate event so runners of all levels, regardless of your fitness level or running experience are more than welcome to attend. Timings do sometimes change so please get in contact so we can get you added to the relevant WhatsApp group for the latest information.
Plans for the forthcoming year, usually commences in Ramadan (approximately 5 months before the trip). To register your interest for 2025 please get in contact with us.
